I think the hydration helps your kidney function better plus using jardiance. It’s also important for healthy function of your other organs and overall health.
I hydrate thru out the day I STOP DRINKING AROUND 9 pm, I am done. I drink water 16 ounces, which includes 2 16 ounce of electrolytes drinks.
My Nocturnal urination is from 1-3 x a night sometimes 0 - 1.
We have to deliberate about our health and don’t concede to the mindset of”I CAN’T”!

Have a super fantastic day! Be nice to your fellow citizens!

I started jardience in March. So far so good. Most days are good for me. Once in a while I have a sleepy day meaning I spend a LOT of time napping and no energy but only lasts 1 day and I'm back to normal. I thank God for all the good days.

Jardiance (empagliflozin) belongs to a class of medications called SGLT-2 inhibitors. These are actually considered a good option for people with kidney disease because they can help lower blood sugar while also offering kidney-protective benefits.

Here are some things worth knowing and discussing with your doctor:

- Kidney protection: SGLT-2 inhibitors have been shown to help slow the progression of kidney disease, which is a big plus.
- Blood pressure: They can also help lower blood pressure, which is important for protecting your kidneys.
- Side effects to watch for: Urinary tract infections and genital yeast infections are more common with this medication.
- Hydration: These medications cause your kidneys to release more glucose through urine, so staying well hydrated is important.
- eGFR monitoring: Your doctor should regularly check your kidney function (eGFR) while you're on this medication. It's always a great idea to ask your doctor questions like:

- Is my current kidney function level appropriate for starting this medication?
- How often will my kidney function be monitored?
- Are there any other medications I'm taking that could interact with Jardiance?

Your doctor knows your full health picture, so partnering closely with them will help you get the most out of any new treatment. 😊
