Members with CKD widely confirmed that being on both blood pressure and cholesterol medications is very common, with many having taken them for years without side effects. Several members shared their specific medications, including atorvastatin, Crestor, Repatha, and Telmisartan, and noted that keeping cholesterol and BP controlled helps protect the kidneys. A recurring theme was that most felt the medications were manageable, though one member shared success with a drug-free, low-sugar lifestyle, and others encouraged getting regular blood tests before making any changes.

I take no meds at all. I choose to be as natural as possible.
I'm the sort of person that needs drugs to counter the side affects of drugs and so for me it's working to be drug free.
I've also been sugar free for over two weeks now and have ate nothing processed and only drank water and milk, and I've benefited for it.
This morning I ran 11km. (Not been able to do that for more than 2 years).

It is taking a lot of self discipline and I'm sure I will give in to some sugary delight at some point.

I only hope I can control myself and not go crazy and eat something like 10 donuts in 5 seconds 🫣🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩

I’m on both because I’ve had three strokes and three heartaches. My blood pressure is out of this world. I don’t know how much more my body can last.

Yes, I'm on a bp med, statin, beta blocker and diuretic. I don't have side effects either. Just feel like I'm constantly taking pills. Lol
