My sister's diagnosis is Kidney disease 3B. She is diabetic and takes insulin. If she is prescribed medication she takes it. She doesn't take care of herself and won't talk to me. She is very tired all day every day. I wish I could help her. Thank You

Nanci, It can be very painfull to watch someone you love choose to not to take care of themselves. You may drive yourself crazy trying to get them to help themselves, especially when a disease like CKD can kill them. She may be depressed. You haven't said how long ago she was diagnosed. It can be very shocking to hear and accept someone has CKD. Denial is a common reaction since most people don't have any symptoms until their kidneys are significanly damaged and she is in Stage 4 or 5. Just be available for her should she decide down the road she needs someone to talk to or other support.

Hi Nanci, I am also stage 3b. Fatigue is one of the main side effects o ckd. It plays havoc with me everyday. Do you think she would join this group? It’s great to communicate with folks with the same issue you have. A lot of info and you can ask questions. I highly recommend it. Good luck
