I have had stage 3 kidney disease since 2016 and it was always stable. Now it has decreased. In the middle of getting a nephrologist up here in Maine. It's a process. Did more bloodwork, urine, and kidney ultrasound so now I wait for the nephrologist to take me on as a patient. A bit nervous of the decreased egfr. Maybe I am just worrying too much.

Members rallied around a post about a surprising drop in eGFR from 50 to 34, offering both emotional support and practical advice for managing kidney disease. Several members shared their own experiences with declining eGFR numbers, with one member noting their levels actually improved from 34 to 46, offering hope that changes can happen in both directions. A recurring theme was the importance of staying hydrated, with many members swapping tips on water bottles, flavored packets, and sugar-free cranberry juice to make drinking more water easier.

I think it’s terrible for you to have to wait several weeks for an appointment. Stay calm. I’m sure the nephrologist will answer your questions, Hugs

I was referred toba nephrologist yet it takes a few weeks to get an appointment. I had a nephrologist in Connecticut yet moved to Maine and didn't establish care yet. I was always stable with my kidney disease yet it decreased. I just had more bloodwork and it went from 34 to 46 the egfr so just waiting on my appointment now.

Darcy, I drink a small glass of cranberry, sugar free, to help control UTI's that I get more and more often. Don't know if it really helps. Like you I like ice water but hard to get what I need down everyday. So much water for a leaky bladder.
