Your not supposed to take NSAIDS with any type of kidney disease. Tylenol should be safe for the kidneys.

For someone with stage 4 kidney disease, acetaminophen (like Tylenol) is generally considered the safer over-the-counter pain relief option.

The key thing to avoid is NSAIDs, which include common pain relievers like:

- Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin)
- Naproxen (Aleve)

These can be risky for kidneys, especially at stage 4, as they can further reduce kidney function. Even with acetaminophen, it's really important to check with your nephrologist before taking anything over the counter. They can confirm the right dosage that's safe for your specific kidney function level.

Your podiatrist may have already given guidance, but looping in your kidney care team is always a smart move to make sure everything lines up safely.

Tylenol pm has been my friend for years
Actually I use the acetaminophen pm which is the Tylenol generic and it works wonders.
