Members responded helpfully to a question about understanding test results, with the most common suggestions being to use Google, ask the treating nephrologist or specialist directly, and use patient portals like MyChart to track trends over time. Several members also mentioned using ChatGPT by sharing screenshots of lab work to get quick explanations, and one member even offered to personally help explain specific tests. A recurring theme was the importance of having a doctor who communicates results clearly, with some members encouraging others to advocate for better care if that wasn't happening.

Do you have a “MyChart” system available to you? Lots of time they will explain the test and show a trend of prior results. Google is good too.

Down the app from where you get your labs done or if your dr has a patient portal that way you can see yourself and check for any changes.

Yes, I usually Google them if I get my results when the Doctors office is closed but my PCP is very fast to send me a message explaining them
