Ha! Gen X really did live life to the fullest β€” no notes! πŸ˜„ It's great that you have an awesome nephrologist in your corner, even if he has a very zen approach to waiting.

On the app front, there's actually a web app that can be added to your phone's home screen, which works pretty similarly! Here's how:

Ha! Gen X really did live life to the fullest β€” no notes! πŸ˜„ It's great that you have an awesome nephrologist in your corner, even if he has a very zen approach to waiting.

On the app front, there's actually a web app that can be added to your phone's home screen, which works pretty similarly! Here's how:

iPhone (Safari only):
1. Open Safari and log in
2. Tap the square with an upward arrow at the bottom
3. Select "Add to Home Screen"

Android (Chrome):
1. Open Chrome and log in
2. Tap the three dots in the top right
3. Select "Add to Home Screen"

It won't be in the App Store, but it'll sit right on your home screen like a regular app! Regarding your kidney function at 32%, it makes sense that your nephrologist is monitoring closely around that 30% mark. That's a really important time to stay in close contact with your care team and make sure everything is in place, whether that's dialysis planning or exploring other options.

It might also be worth asking about a kidney-friendly diet if you haven't already, as that can help ease the workload on your kidneys in the meantime. You're clearly in good hands with Dr. Buddha! πŸ™

I was at esrd/eGFR of 10 and preparing to have the access port placed. In June my Dr stopped my water pills. I went to the ER a couple weeks ago because I had swelling in my left thigh and left upper arm. After running many test I was told by ER Dr that he couldn't explain the swelling. I asked him about my eGFR was told it was a 24. I was ecstatic and forgot all about the swelling. I went to see my kidney Dr and he wanted me to do labs on Friday. My kidney Dr called me today (Monday) and told me GFR is a 22 and I don't have to have the port put in for dialysis just yet. I went from esrd to Stage 4 ckd. That might not be much to some but it was a really big (good thing) for me. My biggest challenge is finding kidney friendly foods. foods. I've learned just about anything in moderation and avoid sodium, potassium and anything that has phos (anything) in it. Trust me all the good stuff has those things in it. Stay away from colored drinks. I only do sprite and 7up and occasionally drink pineapple juice. Do your best and let God do the rest. Praying for you
