As I read the comments and questions here I'm wondering if I need more guidance. Where would I get it? I don't want to make a mountain if I'm dealing with something smaller or negligible. Advice, anyone?

I knew mine had advance even though my labs indicated that. I had severe itching, nausea every am, fatigue, loss of appetite and frequent trips to the bathroom at night. I had lost my husband within that period of time and at first thought it was due to grief an anxiety.

My Dr was basically careless didn’t seem like I was in any danger or anything he kind of made me feel like “ Oh Well!’ So I did not go. Back I feel I need a better dr one who has care and concern where I live A good Dr or a Dr in general is Vert hard to come by . So I’m just living with my ckc day to day I don’t know if it has advanced or not I feel fine so I guess as long as I feel fine I’ll take it 🤷‍♀️ the problem is I lost both parents to kidney disease and my brother !!! Good luck on your journey ♥️

Do you need more guidance for managing your stage 3b CKD beyond just taking Jardiance?

It's completely reasonable to want more information and support. Stage 3 kidney disease means your kidneys are working at a reduced capacity, and while it's manageable, having proper guidance can help slow progression and protect your remaining kidney function.

Here's where you can get additional support:

Nephrologist (Kidney Specialist)
A nephrologist specializes in kidney disease and can provide detailed monitoring, treatment adjustments, and education about your condition. Ask your PCP for a referral.

Registered Dietitian
A dietitian who works with kidney disease patients can help you create an eating plan that protects your kidneys. They can guide you on protein, sodium, potassium, and fluid intake based on your specific needs.

What to Discuss With Your Doctor:
- Regular monitoring of kidney function through blood tests
- Blood pressure management (if applicable)
- Medications that protect your kidneys
- Foods and supplements to avoid
- Lifestyle changes that can help

Stage 3b isn't negligible—it's moderate kidney disease that benefits from proactive management. Getting guidance now can help prevent progression to more advanced stages. Don't hesitate to advocate for yourself and ask your PCP for referrals to specialists who can provide comprehensive care.
