Members shared powerful lessons learned from living with kidney disease, with the most common theme being a deep shift toward mindfulness around diet, including reading food labels, tracking sodium, protein, oxalates, and balancing multiple conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. Several members emphasized the importance of staying consistent with medications, attending specialist appointments, drinking enough water, and keeping blood pressure under control as key tools for protecting kidney health. A recurring emotional theme was gratitude and resilience, with many finding strength through faith, patience, a positive attitude, and learning to appreciate each day.

Boy do I agree with that you have to have a positive attitude about the CKD we still are here I have giving my problem to our God and he is the only one that will keep us from going crazy I still goes to my CKD nephrologist(kidney doctor) and my PCP doctor and cardiologist when they schedule me I am on a 6 month appointment with my renal doctor from last year I am scheduled to see him again this month so he will get my labs that I get for him then he will tell me my results so if he wants to see me in 3 months he will tell me what needs to be done so my colleagues please don't worry because if you pray don't worry if you worry don't pray and that's what I do I pray and don't worry

I enjoy every day and I don't let my kidney disease get me down. We need to look on the bright.side of things. Put your head up because we're still here. To teach other people how to take care of themselves and to be around a lot longer.
And I always pray over anything that happens to me. It taught me to stay away from stress and to keep my Blood Pressure down and to eat a. Well, balanced diet. And enjoy each day as it comes
