Blood work caught my kidney disease. Four weeks before my blood work was fine. So does kidney disease happy overnight before blood work shows it. I was in stage 3b when caught.

Kidney disease can be challenging to detect early because it often has no noticeable symptoms in the beginning stages. In fact, as many as 9 out of 10 adults are unaware they have chronic kidney disease until diagnosed by a doctor.

The good news is that kidney disease CAN be caught early through regular medical checkups that include:
• Blood tests to measure estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR)
• Urine tests to check for albumin (protein) levels Even in Stage 1, when kidneys are still functioning well with an eGFR of 90 or higher, the main sign might only be protein in the urine (albuminuria). This is why regular medical screening is essential, especially if you have risk factors for kidney disease.

The key to catching kidney disease early is not waiting for symptoms to appear, but rather getting routine preventive screenings through your healthcare provider.
