There is an odor when you have CKD. And if it’s really strong sometimes it could be a UTI.

Strong-smelling urine is something other MyKidneyDiseaseTeam members have noticed too, and it's worth paying attention to — especially with stage 4 CKD.

There are a few possible reasons this can happen with kidney disease:

- Waste buildup — When kidneys aren't filtering well, waste products concentrate in urine, making it smell stronger
- Dehydration — Less fluid means more concentrated, stronger-smelling urine
- Urinary tract infection (UTI) — People with CKD have a higher risk of UTIs, which can cause foul-smelling urine along with frequent or urgent urination, burning, or cloudy urine
- Certain medications or supplements — Some can temporarily change urine odor Since this is a new change for you, it's really important to mention it to your nephrologist soon. A UTI left untreated can become serious for someone with CKD, and your doctor can quickly check with a simple urine test.

Don't ignore it — your kidneys are already working hard enough without an uninvited bacterial guest making things worse! 😊

I would like to tell everyone here, that if you start taking Rosabella Beetroot it will help you immensely! It helps your kidneys a lot! If you're even stage 3a or 3b or even 4 it can help you improve kidney function. I read about it online. It's made from the Amish people who grow it nowhere else! Also, this contains Nitric Oxide that helps relax the blood vessels in your kidneys, helps to expel more urine. Nitric Oxide is also found in foods such as spinach, and celery among others. Google Nitric Oxide and foods that contain N.O.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL
