Members shared practical strategies for managing the profound fatigue that comes with kidney disease, with many emphasizing the importance of pacing themselves, accepting that some days allow for more activity than others, and building rest into their routines without guilt. Several members found energy boosts through specific lifestyle changes, including avoiding sugar during the day to prevent crashes, taking vitamin B12 supplements, walking outdoors in sunshine, using protein drinks, and maintaining purposeful daily activities like exercise, puzzles, and household tasks. A recurring theme was the emotional resilience required to fight through both physical exhaustion and mental health challenges, with many members leaning on faith, consistent medication routines, and the understanding that living well with kidney disease means honoring your body's limits while staying as active and engaged as possible.

Someone asked about depression and anxieties, I know I do, but I have most of my life, but I was very abused when I was younger.
And yes it got worse when I found out about my kidney disease.
I make sure that I take my depression medication every day like clock work, but I guess for most part, is I gave my life to God, and let him take over as much as I can, but just like CKD it’s a fight every day, I have a pretty good lease on life most days, but other days, it’s a fight to get out of bed.
I’m sure most people on here has the same battles going on with them. MAY MY GOD BLESS EVERY ONE OF YOU WITH THIS DISEASE, AND JUST KEEP FIGHTING………!!!!!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am 89 years old with stage 3 a kidney disease. Due to bone on bone ankle problem unable to walk far but do ride a stationary bike for 30 minutes daily and work. With a punch bag for a few minutes also. Since I live alone I keep up with the house and yard work but find dieting a real pain. I do take a nap most afternoons due to tiredness. Prayed to all.

I never was a vitamin taker but someone suggested B12 and it really has helped. Also realizing I have to “pace” myself when starting a project…realizing it will take longer than pre diagnosis,.
